Barista

There is an expression which says that a perfect cup of espresso needs the finest coffee beans, the best espresso machine and a barista. Barista is an Italian term which in Italian language means bartender, however, the term today is worldwide referred to one who makes espresso and coffee based drinks as a profession. Barista is an honorable employment title which can be earned only through skills, experiences, training and comprehensive knowledge of all that is necessary for the art of coffee and espresso preparation: coffee characteristics, coffee blends, quality and variations of coffee, roast levels, equipment, etc.

In Italy and France Barista is a highly respected person, while similar trends occurs also in other countries in and outside Europe because even with today's technically advanced machines is necessary a skilled hand and comprehensive knowledge to prepare the perfect cup of espresso. Everyone can not make equally delicious espresso nor serve it in proper manner what sooner or later notice all who appreciate good espresso and prefer to drink it outside. For that reason the number of owners of coffee shops, bar and restaurants who encourage training and education of professional baristas is constantly rising.
